This lesson I have looked at other films in my genre to inspire my own idead. To move forward with our ideas for the film, next lesson we will discuss the locations we can use for the film.

In preparation for being in charge of mise en scene I have looked into the mise en scene from the film superbad which is in the same comedy genre as the film we will produce. The costumes of characters fit their purpose by showing which kids in the school are popular and unpopular which divides the main characters into their unpopular role which has to be made clear to the audience early on in the film to save time. The popular people are shown to be wearing american style varsity jackets which superimposes them straight from the start. The mise en scene is important in this genre as it portrays information about the character without actually having to say them to the audience.

Initial ideas

My initial idea for the creative project are I am going to work in a group to create a short film for the comedy drama genre and I will be focusing on the costume micro element as this is an importnat aspect of this film genre.
